How businesses can bring goods from UK suppliers to Lithuania

How a Lithuanian company can arrange collection from a UK supplier, consolidation of several orders, customs documents and delivery to Lithuania.

Straipsnio nuotrauka

Krovanta's former eBay, Amazon and UK store forwarding service for private customers is no longer offered. Today we work with business and commercial freight: we can collect goods directly from a UK supplier, consolidate orders from several suppliers and arrange transport to Lithuania.

If a Lithuanian company buys goods from a UK supplier, what matters most isn't the shop or platform but the whole supply chain: when the goods are ready, who collects them, how they'll be loaded, what customs data will be needed and how the freight will reach its final address in Lithuania.

Krovanta's UK warehouse address service is for business customers

Krovanta no longer offers a separate shopping or forwarding service for private customers buying from eBay, Amazon or other UK stores. The UK warehouse is used for business and commercial freight logistics: supplier deliveries, consolidating several orders, temporary storage and preparation for the main UK→LT transport.

If you're buying as a company, the order needs to be agreed with Krovanta before goods are sent to the warehouse. That way we know the supplier, the volume, weight, documents and planned departure in advance.

It's often simpler to collect directly from the supplier

A business doesn't have to ask the supplier to deliver to our warehouse. Krovanta can collect freight directly from a supplier, manufacturer or warehouse anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Before collection, give us the supplier's address, contact person, collection reference, ready date, number of packages, dimensions and weight. If the freight is heavy, palletised or non-standard, add photos and information about the loading equipment.

Several UK suppliers can be combined into one load

If your company buys from several suppliers, their goods don't have to travel to Lithuania separately. One supplier may have a pallet ready on Monday, another boxes of equipment on Tuesday and a third another order on Wednesday.

We can collect this freight from different UK locations, hold it temporarily in the UK warehouse and, where it makes sense in cost and timing, consolidate it before a shared departure to Lithuania.

Before buying, look beyond the product price

For a business purchase in the UK, it's important to know the packed dimensions and weight in advance. Cheaply bought heavy equipment or a long structure may need specific handling equipment, more space in the vehicle or a smaller vehicle for collection.

If you're buying palletised goods, ask the supplier for the actual pallet weight, height and whether it can be stacked on. If you're buying machinery or equipment, we also need photos and lifting conditions.

A commercial purchase from the UK means export and import procedures

Goods shipped from England, Scotland or Wales to Lithuania move from Great Britain into the EU, so customs information has to be properly prepared for commercial freight. A UK export declaration needs accurate product details, value, weight, package information and a commodity code; the business also needs a GB EORI.

In Lithuania, import customs clearance is carried out under EU rules. So before collection it's worth having the invoice, an accurate description of the goods, quantities, value, weight, commodity codes and the importer's details.

For an additional fee, Krovanta can help arrange UK export and LT import declarations.

UK origin and buying in the UK are not the same

Buying goods from a UK supplier doesn't mean they originate in the United Kingdom. A UK supplier may be selling a product made in China, the US or another country.

Origin can affect the duty rate, so it shouldn't be guessed from the seller's address alone. If the supplier declares preferential UK origin, you need the supporting evidence.

When the Krovanta UK warehouse is used

The warehouse is most useful when several suppliers have goods ready on different days, when short-term interim storage is needed or when several commercial orders need to be combined into one transport chain.

If you have a single load ready for direct collection, it often makes more sense to collect it straight from the supplier and skip unnecessary interim storage.

What to send before we arrange transport for a business purchase

Send us the supplier's name and UK address, freight dimensions, weight, photos, ready date, the invoice or other purchase document and the delivery address in Lithuania. If the goods come from several suppliers, give details for each one separately.

Based on these details we can decide whether to collect directly from the supplier or use the UK warehouse for consolidation. You'll find the main service on our commercial freight UK to Lithuania page.
