UK warehouse for business: supplier deliveries, consolidation and transport to Lithuania

How the Krovanta UK warehouse works for business freight: supplier deliveries, consolidating several orders, short-term storage and export to Lithuania.

Straipsnio nuotrauka

The Krovanta UK warehouse address is no longer a separate shopping service for private customers. We use it for business and commercial freight logistics – when we need to receive a supplier delivery, combine orders from several suppliers or hold freight briefly until the main UK→LT run.

Today the Krovanta UK warehouse isn't a shopping address for private customers but part of a business logistics chain. It's relevant for companies that buy from UK suppliers and want to gather several orders in one place, store them briefly and send them to Lithuania on a shared run.

Who the UK warehouse service is for

The service is for commercial and business freight. A typical scenario: a Lithuanian company buys from one or several UK suppliers who have goods ready at different times. Instead of several separate international shipments, the freight can be delivered to or collected into the Krovanta UK warehouse and consolidated before the UK→LT run.

We no longer offer a separate forwarding/address service for private eBay, Amazon or other retail purchases.

Freight must be agreed before the supplier sends it

The warehouse address shouldn't be passed to a supplier as a general delivery address without prior agreement. Before delivery we need to know whose freight is arriving, from which supplier, how many packages or pallets there will be, their weight and when delivery is planned.

If the supplier uses an order, delivery or collection reference number, pass it on with the order details. That way the freight can be clearly linked to the right company and the onward transport plan when it arrives.

The supplier can deliver, or we can collect

If the UK supplier has convenient local delivery, they can deliver to the Krovanta warehouse at an agreed time. If not, Krovanta can arrange collection directly from the supplier, manufacturer or another warehouse anywhere in the UK.

Which option makes more sense depends on the supplier's location, the size of the freight, the ready date and local transport conditions.

Consolidating several suppliers

The warehouse adds most value when a company has several UK suppliers. For example, the first supplier has two pallets ready on Monday, the second a few boxes on Tuesday and the third a non-standard part on Wednesday.

If the freight is suitable for shared transport, it can be collected, stored temporarily and combined before the main UK→LT departure. That gives the business one clearer logistics chain instead of several separate international orders.

The warehouse doesn't replace customs procedures

Delivery to the UK warehouse is only a domestic UK logistics stage. When goods leave Great Britain for Lithuania, commercial freight is subject to UK export and EU import procedures.

A UK export declaration needs accurate freight and transaction details, including the commodity code, value, weight and package information. So the invoice and customs data should be prepared alongside storage, not when the freight is already due to leave.

For an additional fee, Krovanta can help arrange UK export and LT import declarations.

Large and heavy freight must be agreed before delivery

If a supplier is sending a heavy pallet, machinery, industrial equipment or other non-standard freight, the actual weight, dimensions and photos must be provided before delivery. A “pallet delivery” label alone doesn't say what equipment will be needed to unload it.

This information lets the warehouse and transport team plan safe receipt and onward loading in advance.

When freight can leave for Lithuania

Krovanta's main UK→LT run leaves on Thursday. Freight usually reaches Lithuania at the weekend and deliveries to recipients run from Monday.

If one of several suppliers is running late, we can decide whether to send the freight already collected on the next run or wait and consolidate all the orders together.

What to provide for a business order

Before using the UK warehouse, send us your company details, each supplier's name and address, the planned delivery date, number of packages or pallets, dimensions, weight, photos, invoice and any other customs data you have.

If you have several suppliers, read more about this model in our UK warehouse consolidation guide. You'll find the full business transport service on our commercial freight UK→LT page.
